Love this place. We have eaten here several times. There are really only two places left in Cambria that we love the food and this is one of them. Simple, fresh. Giovanni (owner & chef) & Diane are great. And the music is either jazz on the record player (yes, really. LPs) or they have a piano and on fri sat & sun they have live music - we heard Charlie Shoemake (Jazz aficionados will know him)...lovely piano as a backdrop to a lovely meal

Bummed I'm doing this review. We stopped by on Sunday 5.25.19 for lunch. Quaint location. Would love to see the theatre aspect of this place.
I'll do the positive first. My pizza was tasty, cook just right amount of time.
Now the negative. Apparently they don't have regular tap water. They were serving not environmentally friendly 8 oz bottles of water and charging for them but wasn't mentioned. Now her dish. She ordered the Avocado and Smoked Trout salad. When it came it was missing the avocado. When we asked about it we were told the avocados were too hard and that was that. To some that may not be that big of an issue but background. She has dietary restraints that made that dish the one she could have when we looked at the menu outside. Secondly it WAS A MAIN INGREDIENT. Literally the title of the dish. Wouldn't you say something if it wasn't going to be in there? And finally why would you charge someone full price for a dish that the main ingredient wasn't even in there.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent food & live music when scheduled ... tonights music featuring the brilliantly talented David Plumb.
Giovanni, owner & chef is an artist & prepares the dishes as poignantly & full of life as he is. -

So we came up for a half century bike ride on the coast. Later in the day we tasted some wine and stumbled upon the Harmony Cafe. What a sweet little rustic place. The roasted olives as an appetizer were awesome ( we suggest you pair them with Cab, for a great taste) the pork chops dish and Butternut squash ravioli fish were a hit with out wine. It was a nice experience overall and we will be back!

We had dinner at the Harmony Cafe last night. We shared the Pork Belly bites appetizer and it was really good. Decided to have the Smoked Salmon orecchiette with baby asparagus. It was a slay ride on the tongue. It will be difficult to return and not have it again and again. The pasta was perfectly cooked. I kept trying to distinguish the combination of flavors. Absolutely delicious.
